Daybreak Youth Services is the innovative leader in the treatment of teen addiction and co-occurring mental health issues across Washington State. We are currently hiring a Mental Health Therapist for our Spokane location's WISE program. This is a full time position, $50,000/annually (DOE), offering competitive benefits and paid time off with flexible schedule.

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for case management, individual counseling, family counseling, and group counseling for their assigned clients. This role will establish individual client treatment plans which include treatment and discharge planning and monitoring progress towards treatment goals through discharge. This position will maintain case records in compliance with agency standards and federal and state regulations. The MHT will interview clients in order to obtain information and insight regarding clients' conditions and needs along with running groups with individuals, groups and families to teach clients in regards to substance abuse, parenting, and adolescent development.The welfare and safety of the clients entrusted to our care is the primary responsibility of all Daybreak Youth Services staff.

  • Facilitates services such as individual, family, or group therapy (focused on topics related to mental illness or substance abuse).
  • Assures that individual service and discharge plans are implemented in accordance with agency policy and WAC 388-877 and 877a.
  • Maintains the continued competency of each assigned clinician in all relevant areas as outlined in WAC 388-877 and 877a. 
  • Designs and implements treatment modalities and strategies to support the treatment philosophy of the agency.
  • Conducts client/family involvement in all clinical phases of treatment including admission, diagnosis and assessment individual and group therapy, substance abuse education, conferences and recreation.

  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field..
  • Must be licensed within the State of Washington to provide mental health services, must be credentialed by the Department of Health for their scope of practice ( LMHC, LICSW);
No history of crimes against persons, as per RCW 43.43.830. Drug screen and TB test are conditions of employment. Continued Employment will be based on the employee's Criminal Background Clearance by DLR/CPS.
